Each of the speech kits include a speech with overheads (to be copied onto transparencies), a sample press release to send to local media, handout materials and tips for giving a speech.
If you would like to be a part of the Cypress Gardens Chapter of CPCU Speakers Bureau, or if you know of a need for a speaker in our community, please let us know.

The Cypress Gardens Chapter of CPCU ended last year on an awesome note earning the Society’s Gold “Circle of Excellence” for the sixth year straight.
As we began our new chapter year, I challenged our 2009-2010 officers to develop a mission statement that reflects who we are as a chapter. Here is what we have adopted with many thanks to Linda Esco for her contribution.
The Cypress Garden Chapter of the CPCU Society is dedicated to:
• Promoting the integrity and visibility of the CPCU designation
• Providing support and encouragement to those seeking the designation
• Meetings the needs of those who have achieved the designation and helping them achieve career success
Our chapter will strive to maintain professional and ethical excellence in service to the public and the property and casualty insurance industry.
Promote CPCU: We will begin our monthly chapter meetings in September. The first meeting will be held at the Admiral’s Inn in Winter Haven. You will also see below the dates and locations of our future meetings.
Provide Support: Robin Clark has organized classes to assist others with successfully passing specific CPCU classes, please consider teaching a class/session. In addition, our chapter invites all candidates who have completed four or more parts toward their CPCU designations to our monthly meetings.
Meeting the needs: I would like to congratulate our ten newest CPCU designees in their achievement. You will see their names below and we will honor them in January 2010 for their accomplishment. In addition, we are looking forward to many wonderful speakers this year during our monthly meetings to assist in the development of our active members.
Service to the public: Our chapter is active in serving the public. Please consider and assist us in the many activities we have planned for this year.
I am excited to serve you as your president and look forward to a successful chapter year.
Roni Goodwin
